Former Hewlett Packard Enterprise Executive Joins Highfive to Expand Global Channel Program

ORLANDO, Fla., March 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Highfive today unveiled its clear commitment to the channel with several updates at Enterprise Connect. The first announcement is a new partner program led by Greg Popham, an industry leader and former executive at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), who takes over as Vice President of Global Channel Sales. With a channel-first, channel-friendly mentality, Highfive and Popham have built a new partner program that empowers its channel partners with speed, an ease of doing business, and plenty of potential for scale.

Popham, former U.S. Director of Small and Medium Business Sales at HPE, joined the Highfive team in early 2019 to further expand its burgeoning channel program and forge new partnerships with key distributors and resellers in North America and globally. Prior to joining HPE, where he also led the Americas Networking and Hybrid IT channels and later served as the Director of U.S. Distribution, Popham held various channel roles at Avaya, Motorola, and Symbol Technologies.

"There aren't many companies with a true channel-first, channel-friendly mentality. Many competitors in this space take a 'Jekyll & Hyde' approach to the channel, where it's a priority this month but not necessarily next month," commented Popham. "Highfive is committed to the channel. It's our top priority to build a best-in-class partner program that fosters a healthy relationship between Highfive and our valued partners. And like our products, we've made the program so it's easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to sell. We believe this puts the power to scale within our partners' own hands."

Unlike many of its competitors, Popham said that Highfive offers recurring channel margin on contract renewals, so partners receive ongoing revenue streams instead of a one-time payment. The company is also enhancing support to its current and new partners by providing refreshed tools, deal registration, and a new partner portal designed to make reselling and provisioning of Highfive seamless. Committed to being a one-stop-shop for customers, Highfive recently added an asset disposition program, making it significantly easier for resellers to help end users rip and replace existing technology, but recover value still left in the hardware.

As Highfive looks to add sustainable partners to its program, it has expanded globally to Canada, Europe, and Australia. The company is now working to enable more VARs (Value-Added Resellers) and service providers to sell Highfive directly to customers with full whitelisting and provisioning capabilities. This underscores Highfive's commitment to empowering its partners to maintain unique channel capabilities and potential for success for the long-term.
