McCann Campaigns, Clients And Creative Talent Top 2018 Analysis Of The Industry's 'Most Awarded'


NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- McCann Worldgroup ranks at the top of the industry in its awards performance, according to a newly released 2018 year-end analysis published by The Drum Magazine. Called the 2019 "Big Won World Creative Rankings," the report shows McCann as the only agency with two among the top 5 most creatively awarded campaigns as well as leading all agencies in its total number of top-awarded creative leaders.

McCann is also the only agency with two of its clients among the top 5 most creatively awarded clients in the world: Microsoft at #2 and State Street Global Advisors at #5. The global awards analysis also showed McCann New York as #2 and McCann London as #10 in the overall list of the year's "Most-Awarded Creative Agencies."

The ranking of the 20 "Most-Awarded Campaigns" showed two McCann campaigns in the top 5: "Fearless Girl" for State Street Global Advisors, from McCann New York, at #4, and "The Fanchise Model" for Xbox Design Lab Originals, from McCann London, at #5. In addition, "Share a Coke 1,000 Name Celebratio" for Coca-Cola, from Fitzco//McCann Atlanta, ranked #19.



McCann also led all agencies in the number of creative executives named to the total most-awarded talent lists. Among the 10 creative leaders from the U.S. and the U.K. whose names top these lists, the "Most-Awarded Chief Creative Officers" ranking includes McCann New York's co-CCOs Sean Bryan and Thomas Murphy (#3), McCann North America's Eric Silver (#6), McCann London's Rob Doubal and Laurence Thomson (#10), and McCann XBC's Joyce King Thomas (#13). In addition, Chris Mitton and Nir Refuah at McCann New York, both were named to the list of Top 20 "Most-Awarded Executive Creative Directors," and Sanjiv Mistry and Jamie Mietz of McCann London were among the "Most-Awarded Creative Directors."
