Olympus OM-D E-M1X is a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera offering a broad range of photo and video capabilities to satisfy the professional shooter's needs.

The E-M1X features a 20.4MP Live MOS sensor along with dual image processors, which afford continuous shooting rates up to 18 fps with continuous autofocus, 60 fps with locked focus, and 15 fps with a mechanical shutter. A sensitivity range from ISO 200-25600 suits working in a variety of lighting conditions, and a vast 121-point all cross-type phase-detection autofocus system is rated down to -6 EV for working in low light. This focusing system has been optimized for subject tracking using an Intelligent Subject Detection system along with a series of group focusing point settings for locking onto subjects of varying sizes. The imaging capabilities also extend to video recording, with support for DCI and UHD 4K shooting at up to 237Mb/s, and an integrated OM-Log setting is available for easier color grading.

Balancing its imaging prowess, the E-M1X is also endowed with a 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization system that compensates for up to 7 stops of camera shake with any lens, or up to 7.5 stops with select OIS-enabled lenses. This stabilization system also contributes to a series of unique shooting modes, including Handheld High Res Shot and Tripod High Res Shot, which composite several exposures together to produce a single 50MP image. Live ND is another unique shooting mode that mimics the effects of a sold neutral density filter by compositing sequential frames to blur movement more effectively.

Regarding its physical design, the E-M1X is distinguished by its integrated vertical grip, which accepts two BLH-1 batteries for longer shooting times, and incorporates a secondary set of controls for working seamlessly in either horizontal or vertical shooting orientations. A 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder is also featured, and has a large 0.83x magnification and 120 fps refresh rate for clear, fluid viewing. A rear 3.0" 1.037m-dot vari-angle touchscreen LCD is also included, to support working from high and low angles. Dual SD card slots are both UHS-II compatible for fast read/write speeds and quick in-camera battery charging is possible, at up to 100W of power, via USB Type-C. And of course, the body is fully weather-sealed to suit its use in harsh environments.

In addition to the camera body, Olympus has also announced the FL-700WR Electronic Flash; a wireless radio-enabled strobe with a guide number of 137.8' at ISO 100. Full rotation and bounce movements are possible for flexible positioning, a built-in video LED provides constant illumination, and its radio connectivity allows the flash to also act as a radio commander or receiver for wireless remote setups. Complementing this, the FC-WR Wireless Radio Flash Commander and FR-WR Wireless Radio Flash Receiver has also been announced to further lend support for making wireless flash setups with select OM-D-series cameras. Additionally, the flash, commander, and receiver are all splash-, dust-, and freeze-resistant to maintain the ability to work in inclement conditions.
