Nominations Being Accepted for the Annual Marie R. Pistilli Women in Electronic Design AwardThe Design Automation Conference (DAC), the premier conference devoted to the design and automation of electronic circuits and systems, is now accepting nominations for the Marie R. Pistilli Women in Electronic Design Award. The 56th DAC will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV June 2-6, 2019. Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 PM MST on Friday, March 1, 2019. Worldwide Women in Electronic Design (WWED) highlights the achievements women have contributed to in the electronics industry. Each year the committee works closely with the DAC Executive Committee to seek out and sponsor an exceptional speaker to present at DAC. They also seek nominations and select the recipient of the annual Marie R. Pistilli Award. This annual award, named for the late Marie R. Pistilli, the former co-organizer of DAC, recognizes individuals who have visibly helped to advance the profile of women in the electronics industry. This year's honoree (to be announced prior to DAC) will be presented with the award at the 56th DAC General/Opening Session on Monday, June 3, 2019. The Marie R. Pistilli Award honors a woman or man in semiconductor-related industry or academia. Nominees may hail from technical or non-technical backgrounds and are individuals who have made notable contributions to advance the profile of women in the electronic design industry. Past recipients have played keyroles in creating, launching, or managing products that involved contributions from women or created opportunities for women in the industry. Some have been leaders within a company or organization helping to raise the awareness of women, while others have been mentors or role models for successful women in technology. "For over 18 years, the Marie Pistilli award has acknowledged the pivotal role diversity plays in sparking the innovations that have continued advancements in electronic design.
