Healthcare Consultant Kristen Barlow Joins Dorsey Health Strategies in Minneapolis

Prior to joining DHS, Ms. Barlow was a senior consultant with the Advisory Board Company, where she was responsible for assisting health industry companies with strategic, operational, and compliance challenges. She worked particularly with hospitals, physician groups, and post-acute care providers. She specialized in post-acute care delivery considerations, and has spent time exploring collaboration strategies with hospitals and post-acute care providers.

M. Barlow is an industry expert in value-based reimbursement and bundled payments, including technical details, gainsharing mechanisms, and best practices for financial success. Ms. Barlow also works one-on-one with clients to solve a variety of strategic and operational challenges, including but not limited to selecting clinical episodes for bundles, understanding payment reform regulations, improving post-acute efficiency, narrowing post-acute networks, and working with managed care payers. She also leverages her law degree as she translates regulations into operational implications.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
