FleetUp Tackles Bike Theft with Motorbike GPS TrackingSAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 40 thousand motorcycles in the U.S were reported stolen in 2017 according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau. To help combat motorcycle theft, FleetUp, a Silicon Valley software engineering company, has launched a new tracking device called Motorbike GPS Tracker. The device is brilliantly designed to prevent thefts by providing live location tracking of any two-wheel vehicle. The Motorbike GPS Tracker includes a built-in motion alarm that automatically alerts te owner if someone is attempting to move the bike or disable the tracker. If the bike is stolen, a key feature on the tracker allows the owner to send an engine cut-off command to the bike through FleetUp's platform, preventing the thief from further operating the bike. Additionally, the internal battery allows location tracking even after the motor bike's engine is turned off. FleetUp CTO, Ezra Kwak said the tracker is specially designed for motorcycles but can be used to protect other two-wheel vehicles including scooters and e-bikes. "It's the perfect solution for theft protection," said Kwak. "We want to give riders a sense of security so they don't have to worry about someone stealing their bike while they are out riding." Other special features the Motorbike GPS Tracker includes are overspeed alerting, real-time tracking, and geofencing alerts. About FleetUp CONTACT: Yessenia Chavez, [email protected]
