Arkansas.gov Receives MarCom Gold Award

Arkansas.gov, the official website of the state of Arkansas, was named a winner in the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals' MarCom Award competition.

The awards recognize outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals in over 300 categories. Arkansas.gov received a Gold Award for having exceedingly high standards as a government website.

Arkansas.gov delivers value to Arkansans by providing a centralized access point to a comprehensive collection of government information and online services. A chatbot feature on the website provides instant answers to hundreds of questions about government services saving citizens time and effort. Government offices also benefit when citizens use online tools to find aswers to their questions or take care of government-related business since the time it takes to process payments in the office or answer questions over the phone can be better utilized.

"Arkansas.gov was redesigned to help citizens find the information or services they need as quickly as possible," said Secretary of State Mark Martin, chairman of the board that oversees the state's digital government program. "This recognition is a great honor and demonstrates Arkansas' ongoing commitment to making it easy for citizens to connect with government."

Since the launch of the redesigned Arkansas.gov in 2017, more than 800,000 citizens have visited the site and almost 4,000 have used the chatbot feature.
