Aptilo Wins 'Best Wi-Fi' for Swisscom Cloud and New Privacy Solutions

Aptilo Networks has together with Swisscom been recognized as winner of the Wi-Fi NOW Awards in the 'Best Wi-Fi Service Provider' category. The Aptilo Service Management Platform™ (SMP) was also winner of the 'Best Service Provider Wi-Fi solution' category for its new Consent and Personal Data Management Solution.

Swisscom is using Aptilo Service Management Platform™ (SMP) and some in-house subsystems to deliver operator-managed guest Wi-Fi to their business customers in a large-scale cloud-based public Wi-Fi service in span >Switzerland. The solution helps Swisscom successfully compete with the many cloud services on the market, and creates opportunities for Swisscom to monetize the Wi-Fi service.

Swisscom's Wi-Fi boasts 5,000 hotspots with 70,000 Wi-Fi access points. Currently, 2.8 million unique users consume 1,500 TB of data every month.
