COSCO Shipping Ports and Navis Partner to Launch Center of ExcellenceNavis, a part of Cargotec Corporation and provider of operational technologies and services that unlock greater performance and efficiency for the world's leading organizations across the shipping supply chain, announced a new partnership with COSCO Shipping Ports Limited (CSP (News - Alert)), creating a joint Center of Excellence (CoE). Launched in September 2018, the center will deliver dedicated Navis and CSP resources for N4 implementation projects across COSCO Shipping Ports' portfolio of assets and support ongoing optimization excellence. The Center of Excellence model is a long-term engagement between the two parties aimed at enabling CSP to implement the projects themselves, shortening the timeline to deliver services through dedicated, onsite and remote resources. This announcement is the latest development to come out of Navis' longstanding relationship with CSP. Earlier this year, CSP entered into a subscription agreement with Navis to implement N4 across its network - currently comprised on 269 berths at 38 ports worldwide, of which 179 are for containers. The CoE is organized to deliver several projects, regardless of terminal type (greenfield, semi-automated, automated), in parallel as CSP facilities migrate to N4.
