Skilljar CEO Sandi Lin Named a Top Woman Leader in SaaS for 2018

Skilljar, the leading Customer Training Platform for enterprises, today announced that its CEO and Co-founder Sandi Lin has been recognized as a "Top Woman Leader in SaaS" for 2018. The annual awards list honors 50 women leaders from the software as a service (SaaS) industry and is compiled by The SaaS Report (TSR (News - Alert)). TSR received over 3,500 nominations for the 2018 list. Nominees were assessed across a number of key areas, including integrity, intelligence, drive, company culture and company growth, among other areas.

"I am honored to be in the company of such extraordinary women business leaders from the SaaS (News - Alert) industry," said Lin. "Our industry is driving major changes in how people learn, work, and live, and I am proud to see some of the most innovative SaaS companies being founded and led by women."

Since co-founding Skilljar in 2013, Lin has led the company to the top of the customer training industry, helping enterprise customers like Cisco (News - Alert) Verizon and Tableau accelerate product adoption and deepen customer engagement. 2018 has been an especially impactful year for Skilljar and Lin, as the company has seen rapid growth driven by continued product investments and a $16.4 million Series A financing round led by Mayfield and Shasta Ventures. Skilljar has also doubled headcount this year and recently moved into new, larger offices in Seattle.

Prior to Skilljar, Lin was a Senior Manager at Amazon, leading product management teams for Fulfillment by Amazon, Amazon Local, and Kindle with Special Offers. She has bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

"Today, more than ever, it is important that we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of women in SaaS, software and the broader technology field," said TSR editors when releasing the list. "By shining a light on these leaders we can help inspire and encourage today's younger generation of women to aim high and achieve."

Skilljar has also recently been recognized with the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award for Best LMS for External Training, the Best Customer LMS from the Talented Learning LMS awards, the 2018 Seattle Business Magazine Tech Impact Award and placement on Training Industry's Learning Portal Companies Watch List.
