Alabama Websites Continue to Receive International Praise

Two websites hosted by Alabama Interactive, Alabama.gov and OutdoorAlabama.com, were recognized again this quarter by an international award competition for excellence on the web. The W³ awards presented both websites with Silver awards in the government category. Just last month, the websites received awards from the WebAwards and Alabama.gov was recognized as a finalist by the Center for Digital Government.

Alabama Interactive places great importance on finding innovative ways to bring the government to citizens online in a user-friendly manner. Both websites recognized with awards do just that. Each consists of unique features that better serve not only Alabamians but also site visitors around the world. Some of the features specifically recognized by the award competitions include a centralized search and dynamic news galleries.

About the W³ Awards

The W³ Awards honors creative excellence on the Web and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award-winning websites, Web video and online marketing programs. Simply put, the W³ is the first major Web competition to be accessible to the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Small firms are as likely to win as Fortune 500 companies and international agencies.

The W³ Awards is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. Please visit aiva.org for a full member list and additional iformation. For more information about the W³ Awards, please visit http://www.w3award.com.
