Circadence's® Education, Training and Assessment Solutions Support Mission of 15th Annual National Cybersecurity Awareness Month

BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Circadence Corporation is embracing the mission, “cybersecurity is a shared responsibility,” from the 15th Annual National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, this October through the release of its new industry white paper, Protecting Democracy From Election Hacking: A Five-Step Implementation Strategy to Address Global Election Integrity in the Wake of Digitalization.”

The white paper release comes at the start of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a month-long campaign launched by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in October 2004. The campaign is devoted to educating everyone about the roles they play in helping to safeguard the internet. Different themes are presented each week throughout the month of October that address cybersecurity issues related to personal, at-home practice to business operations to critical infrastructure.

Circadence issud the new white paper in the wake of considerable public discussion surrounding the vulnerability concerns of U.S. voting ecosystems, coupled with daily news reports of breaches and increasing skills gap statistics. The white paper focuses specifically on election infrastructure and provides recommendations for new, holistic ways to strengthen cyber readiness efforts.

“While pertinent to those in election security, the information in our new white paper has strong ties to current cybersecurity challenges many industries face today and our recommendations within, align to the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month campaign messaging,” said Circadence Executive Vice President of Rapid Prototyping, Laura Lee. “It’s fitting that this resource is now available to all cybersecurity leaders, during this heightened month of cyber awareness, because they can now use it to improve their cyber team’s skills and performance.”

Circadence’s new white paper provides an all-encompassing view of cybersecurity best practices inspired by the NIST/NICE Framework. It addresses current challenges faced within election security infrastructure including the lack of realistic cyber range training opportunities and the need for organization-wide education programs that shift the cybersecurity thinking and behavior of entire campaign workforces.

“Circadence is dedicated to providing cybersecurity leaders with the thinking, resources and solutions they need to effectively combat evolving cyber threats, especially during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month,” said Michael Moniz, Co-Founder and CEO of Circadence. “The issue of cyber awareness deserves to be part of an ongoing paradigm shift that the industry needs. We hope this white paper is a valuable cog in the cyber readiness wheel and its content will inspire the improvement of cybersecurity practices for and across all organizations from government to enterprise to academic.”
