Turbonomic Chief Operating Officer, Mark Thurmond, Named to CRN's List of Top 100 Executives

Turbonomic, the leader in workload automation for hybrid cloud, today announced that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Turbonomic Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mark Thurmond, to its 2018 list of Top 100 Executives. The annual list recognizes leaders from the technology industry who have played an integral role in shaping today's IT channel, whether by driving huge cultural shifts, creating rich new opportunities, or forging innovative routes to success.

Thurmond joined as Turbonomic's first COO in September of 2017. He has been instrumental in growing and scaling Turbonomic's global Channel and Alliances Business, which the company expects to drive more than 75-percent of revenue in 2018. Notably, Thurmond spearheaded the launch of a new global partner program which increases partner profitability through deal protection, margin protection, and incentives for new customers and growth attainment. The program also focuses on new accreditation to accelerate partner delivery of support and services. Turbonomic's partner ecosystem includes over 300 technology alliance and channel partners, including Accenture, AHEAD, AWS, BMC, Cisco, CDW, DXC, Kovarus, Microsoft (News - Alert), Presidio, RoundTower, RTP, Sirius, Trace3, Technologent and many others.

Thurmond has a track record of successfully scaling companies. Prior to joining Turbonomic he was Executive Vice President at Qlik Technologies where he led Worldwide Sales and Services. This followed a 15-year career at EMC (News - Alert) where he held multiple global sales and operations leadership positions for several business units, including VCE, RSA and the EMC Centera Business Unit. Prior to that, he was a senior sales executive at PTC.
