Utah Singer Peter Breinholt Performs Fundraising Concert Benefiting Kostopulos Dream Foundation/Camp KostopulosBeloved Utah singer-songwriter Peter Breinholt, along with his band, performed at Camp Kostopulos (Camp K) on Saturday, June 30, to a crowd of 350 attendees. Ticket and sponsorship proceeds directly benefited Camp K and its programs. The event was presented by the Sandy division of HUB International, an insurance brokerage firm specializing in employee benefits administration. Breinholt and his band performed at Camp K for nearly two hours, entertaining the crowd with song selections spanning his discography, along with a small selection of popular cover songs. Breinholt first rose to fame in Utah when his debut record became the best-selling independently released album ever in the state. Released in 1993, "Songs about the Great Divide" was described by Salt Lake Magazine as an underground classic. Kostopulos Dream Foundation/Camp Kostopulos is a non-profit organization whose mission of inclusion and diversity ensures that people with disabilities are included within the Utah community. Camp K CEO Mircea Divricean, recently named CEO of the Year by Utah Business Magazine, said the event was a massive success for the organization. "We really do great things here at Camp K, so it's wonderful to witness such a wellspring of support from within our community. It gives me hope that we can continue our mission here for a long time." In 2017, Camp K was awarded a perfect score from Charity Navigator, the only charity within the state to earn such a score. Proceeds from the event went toward funding Camp K's many programs designed to improve the quality of life for people of all abilities through education, recreation and growth opportunities.
