Leerink Revelation Partners Closes Second Fund at Hard Cap of $227 MillionLeerink Revelation Partners (LRP), an investment partnership formed in 2015 between Leerink Capital Partners and Revelation Partners to provide capital and liquidity solutions to healthcare investors, funds, founders and companies, announced the closing of a second fund focused on secondary investments in healthcare. The new fund, Leerink Revelation Healthcare Fund II, was oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap of $227 million, surpassing its initial target of $200 million. The recent capital raise builds on the long-term success of the managing partners, Mr. Scott Halsted, Dr. Zack Scott and Mr. Mike Boggs, who have executed this secondary strategy for over ten years and who manage the $420 million of LRP capital. In conjunction with the new capital raise, Fred Lee has joined the firm as Head of Business Origination. In this role, Fred will interface with emerging growth companies and healthcare investors to generate investment opportunities for LRP and enhance the firm's industry relationships. Mr. Lee brings to LRP twelve years of experience in the healthcare financial services industry. Most recently, Mr. Lee worked at Bridge Bank as a Managing Director in the Life Sciences Group, where he was primarily responsible for originating venture debt investments in early to mid-stage life science companies and providing customized financing structures for both public and private companies. Prior to that, Mr. Lee worked at Capital One (News - Alert) Healthcare as Vice President in the Life Science Finance group. He began his career at Citigroup Global Markets and held roles of increasing responsibility in the Healthcare Investment Banking team.
