Easterseals Southern California Selects Fuze to Improve Collaboration across their Mobile and Office-Based Workforce

Fuze, the leading cloud-based communications platform provider for the modern global enterprise, was selected by Easterseals Southern California (ESSC) to migrate its communications system to the cloud and improve connectivity for its 2,800+ employees. As California's largest nonprofit provider of disability services to adults and children, ESSC is deploying Fuze to upgrade the organization's voice, messaging, and conference capabilities across its entire workforce.

For nearly 100 years, Easterseals has been an indispensable resource for individuals with special needs and their families. Across 60+ service locations, ESSC's workforce helps people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve their goals to live, learn, work, and play in their communities. The services provided by the organization, in Los Angeles, Orange (News - Alert), San Diego, Imperial, Kern, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Ventura counties, make profound and positive differences in people's lives every day.

With a generationally diverse workforce spanning millennials to baby boomers, ESSC needed a mobile-first, single application intuitive for all ages that provides consistent communications experiences for staff in offices and in the community. Workers not only wanted a simple way to communicate from any device in their preferred method of calling or texting, but also a way to stay connected, productive, and collaborative. To meet the requirements, Fuze helped ESSC to transition from employees having multiple devices for different forms of communication to a network of softphones with consistency regardless of device or communication method.

In addition to selecting Fuze for unified communications, ESSC also chose Fuze Rooms for an easy user interface to attend Fuze Meetings in a conference room and connect to the audio and visual equipment in the room. uze Rooms full integration with Office 365 Calendar made it an obvious choice for the new ESSC Services Support Center and the existing 50+ shared meeting spaces across the organization.

"Mobility, usability, and integration with existing systems are critical to what we do and working with Fuze allows our distributed network of full-time employees, volunteers, and partners to coordinate care utilizing a single application for all of their communication needs. This frees them up to focus on providing life-changing services to the thousands of residents that rely on us," said Stacie DePeau, CIO, Easterseals Southern California. "While I provided the top options for selection based on technology capabilities, the decision to go with Fuze was not mine alone as it was most important to find a solution our associates will love to use. We went through an extensive request for proposal and proof-of-concept trials to put the technology in the hands of those who would be using it."

"Easterseals Southern California is a great example of a decentralized organization recognizing the limitations associated with outdated, hardware-reliant systems to connect a large and rapidly expanding mobile user base. Many companies of similar size are looking inward at the preferences, needs, and behaviors of a multi-generational workforce and implementing a solution that enables their team to focus on their work first; in this case, providing essential services to so many in need," said Colin Doherty, CEO, Fuze. "Employees of every generation are demanding more flexible and productive ways to work with greater collaboration and the simplicity of a single application. For ESSC, work is just as much about 'where you go' as it is about 'what you do,' and we are excited to support the organization's success through this deployment."
