RiskSense CEO to Present New Approach for Assessing Device-based Risk at BrightTALK Summit on "Securing the IoT"
RiskSense®, Inc., the pioneer in
intelligent threat and vulnerability management, today announced that
CEO, Srinivas Mukkamala, Ph.D. will present a session called "Piecing
Together IoT Risk from Flexible & Fractured Design Components" as part
of the BrightTALK Summit on Securing the IoT on June 12, 2018.

Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala, co-founder and CEO of RiskSense, is a
recognized expert on artificial intelligence (AI) and neural
networks. He was part of a think tank that collaborated with the
U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community on
applying these concepts to cybersecurity problems. Dr. Mukkamala was
also a lead researcher for CACTUS (Computational Analysis of Cyber
Terrorism against the U.S.) and holds a patent on Intelligent Agents
for Distributed Intrusion (News - Alert) Detection System and Method of Practicing.

WHAT:
|
|
|
|
|
|
Tens of billions of Internet-connected devices are expected to come
online over the next two years, most of which lack even basic
security controls. This sprawling new attack surface is placing
extraordinary pressure on enterprises and their security teams. In
this session, Dr. Mukkamala will explain why conventional control
and mitigation assumptions are not suited to address the dynamic
nature of IoT ecosystems where devices often use intermittent
connections and switch and/or reroute data to alternative networks.
He will present a new approach to assessing security risk that takes
into account the flexible and fractured design of IoT ecosystems.
Attendees will learn how this new model can be used to chain
together multiple vulnerabilities and potential exploit paths to
dynamically analyze threats, predict attacks and take remediation
actions to protect against them.
