Mr. Muething joined American Annuity Group, a predecessor company to Great American's Annuity Group, nearly 25 years ago as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1999 and in 2012, assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Muething oversees the Annuity Distribution, Operations, Information Technology and Legal functions. Prior to joining Great American, Mr. Muething worked as an Associate and Partner at the Cincinnati law firm Keating, Muething & Klekamp. Mr. Muething is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
