Local Families & Educators Rally for School ChoiceAs lawmakers arrive in Sacramento to begin the 2018 legislative session, local families and school leaders will join together to raise awareness about K-12 education options available to all students. The celebration, timed to kick-off National School Choice Week on January 21-27, will be held on Tuesday, January 16 at the California Museum (1020 O Street) in downtown Sacramento. The California celebration of National School Choice Week will begin at 5:00 PM and feature speaker presentations, family dinner, museum tour, scavenger hunt and entertainment. Held every January, National School Choice Week is an independent public awareness effort designed to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for every child. Through more than 32,000 independently planned events across the country, National School Choice Week raises public awareness of all types of educational choices available to children.
