ServiceMax Appoints Takahiro Kouke as General Manager of Japan Operations

ServiceMax, a GE Digital company and the leader in cloud-based field service management solutions, today announced it has appointed Takahiro Kouke as General Manager of Japan, where he will focus on expanding the company's customer base in the burgeoning market.

Kouke joins ServiceMax after spending more than 25 years scaling operations and building sales and marketing teams across a variety of roles and companies in Japan. Most recently, Kouke launched Radware's (News - Alert) cloud security business in Japan, and managed all aspects of operations in the region. Prior to that, he served as country manager for Opower (acquired by Oracle) and Novel (acquired by Microfocus), and vice president for Coverity (acquired by Synopsys (News - Alert)) and Cisco (via Tanberg acquisition).

ServiceMax has seen an expanding opportunity in Japan since it launched its local effort in 2015. Of note are partnerships ServiceMax has announced with Hitachi, Pro-SPIRE and ISID, and the successful deployment at customer Screen GP. According to leading market research firm ITR, as of 2015 the field service management market in Japan comprises an approximate ¥3.7 billion opportunity, and is forecast to grow to ¥5.8 billion by 2019.

And as our recent survey indicated, our customers are deriving dramatic business benefits from modernizing field service, on average seeing revenue increase by 13 percent and costs decrease by 8 percent. As such, ServiceMax expects more companies to begin transforming service operations.

"Field service management technology can have a profound impact on industrial companies looking for growth in an otherwise stagnant space," said Kouke. "I am looking forward to helping companies tap into their service organizations to improve profitability, customer satisfaction and productivity through ServiceMax's end-to-end field service platform."

"Takahiro brings a wealth of experience to our growing Japan operations, where we see a huge opportunity to deploy ServiceMax more broadly," said Spencer Earp, Executive Vice President, EMEA & APAC, ServiceMax. "As our customers continue to showcase the dramatic benefits they're seeing we're excited to have Takahiro leading the charge in this region."
