Sharon Olzerowicz Honored as One of Inaugural Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Women of Distinction

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) proudly celebrates its 20th Anniversary year by recognizing an exclusive group of WBENC-Certified women business owners known as Women of Distinction. Sharon Olzerowicz, President & CEO of Hired by Matrix (HbM), is proud to be named one of the inaugural 25 women business leaders who have demonstrated a deep commitment to WBENC and to breaking down barriers for women-owned businesses in the corporate and government supply chains.

The Women of Distinction program was established to create a strategic role for highly successful Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) as advisors to WBENC, supporting the growth and success of all WBEs. WBENC will showcase the Women of Distinction in 2017. "As we celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we are so proud of Sharon Olzerowicz for her leadership and commitment to our organization and the women's business community," said WBENC President & CEO Pamela Prince-Eason.

"I am honored to be among this prestigious group of accomplished leaders, and together, we are committed to serving WBENC's CORE Platform - Certification, Opportunities, Resources, and Engagement," said Olzerowicz. Other recipients include Tara Abraham, Chairman & Co-CEO, Accl Inc., Janice Bryant Howroyd, Founder & CEO, The Act •1 Group and Julie Copeland, CEO, Arbill, and Billy Bryant Schultz, President & CEO, CESCO, Inc.

Olzerowicz founded HbM in 1986, a leader in the staffing industry, providing temporary resources to an enviable list of Fortune 500 and mid-market companies in Information Technology, Accounting & Finance, and Administrative/Clerical. Throughout her career, she has focused her energies on making matches between people and needs and between job seekers and candidates, a passion that helped drive HbM to become a highly respected partner in the staffing industry.

Olzerowicz is an annual contributor to the C200 Foundation, a partner to Dress for Success, and serves as mentor to The Committee of 200 Protégé Program and to several WBE's. Olzerowicz is a member of the WBENC Women's Enterprise Forum, serves on the Membership and Revenue Generation Committee and earned a coveted position on the WBENC National Board of Directors. She is an active and longstanding member of the Women Presidents' Educational Organization (WPEO), the Greater Women's Business Council (GWBC), and the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC). Over the years, she has been honored in various capacities, including the Ladies Achieving Continuous Excellence (LACE) Trailblazer Award by the GWBC; as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the New Jersey region; as New Jersey Monthly Magazine's Leading Women Entrepreneurs & Business Owners Award. HbM was named to Crain's List of NY Area's Largest Woman-Owned Firms. Most recently she was given SmartCEO magazine's Brava! Award, which "recognizes female CEOs who combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for mentoring and giving back."
