Basware Company, Verian, to Host Purchase-to-Pay Webinar Featuring Gartner and Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers

Verian, a Basware company, will host an educational webinar featuring Gartner (News - Alert) analyst Debbie Wilson and Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers' (Goodyear) Purchasing Manager Angela Watts on Wednesday, June 15 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

During the webinar, Wilson will discuss results from Gartner's Magic Quadrant survey of companies using purchase-to-pay solutions from top vendors. She will focus on key trends from procurement and finance professionals participating in the survey, including:

  • What's driving accelerated adoption of purchase-to-pay systems
  • How leading companies are deploying e-procurement
  • Satisfaction levels with vendors/solutions in meeting purchase-to-pay investment goals.

During the webinar, Watts will discuss Goodyear's experiences implementing its purchase-to-pay system, including the major reasons for investing in purchase to pay, its strategy for e-procurement deployment and success metrics and progress made toward its goals. She will share the company's accomplishments, including gaining critical control over spend, resolving internal audit gaps and streamlining processes, which resulted in a more efficient, digital workplace and significant cost savings.

Wilson, who leads Gartner's research on evaluating and deploying procurement and sourcing technologies, cross-industry and cross-technology, focuses on business-to-business strategy and the impact of Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) on markets and clients. Wilson has more than 25 years of experience in procurement, 13 of which as a practitioner.

Watts has 20 years of experience at Goodyear, developing company policy on purchasing, implementing an eProcurement system and building the framework for future RFQ procedures. Watts' efforts have resulted in process improvemets, standardization and better controls throughout the organization, which saved the company significant time and money.

Webinar moderator Mike Pierson, product manager, Verian, said,"The webinar is a great opportunity to hear Debbie's insights into the dynamically changing purchase-to-pay marketplace and the results of Gartner's recent study on business trends, as well as hear a real-world example from Goodyear on the transformational benefits companies are experiencing through automating procurement and invoice processing."
