The cornerstone of the Menorah Islands Project is its focus on building a common good across cultural and political lines, which opens opportunities for island residents, employees, and visitors to look past their differences and unite to work toward a common goal.

"The importance of cooperation and collaboration is at the heart of the Menorah Islands concept," the project's website, www.TheMenorahIslands.com, states. "The project would not only improve quality of life, but would prove that peace is possible when people transcend biases to work together to build a model society."

The collaborative efforts would be spearheaded by the complex's focus on the sciences. Each of the nine artificial islands would house a school that studies a certain scientific field, from marine and agricultural sciences to medicine and physics.

The artificial islands would also embrace several progressive and advanced green-friendly initiatives, uniting like-minded individuals in the quest to renew and conserve the earth's resources. Such advancements include solar energy to harness power, advanced recycling practices for conservation efforts, and atmospheric water generation to address the water shortage in the Middle East.
