BRIEF: Don Grantham elected chairman of State Transportation Board [The Augusta Chronicle, Ga. :: ]


(Augusta Chronicle (GA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 23--Augusta business owner Don Grantham was elected chairman of the State Transportation Board, the policy-making and governing authority of the Georgia Department of Transportation, according to a news release.



Grantham, elected Friday, is a former member of the Augusta Commission. He represents District 12 and served the past year as the transportation board's vice chairman. He replaces outgoing chairman Jay Shaw.

Emily Dunn, of Blue Ridge, was elected vice chairwoman, and Robert Brown, of Decatur, was voted secretary.


The 14 members of the State Transportation Board serve one-year terms.
