GreenSQL Announces Database Security and Compliance Solution for Customers of Numergy, France's Top Cloud Hosting Provider

TEL AVIV, Israel --(Business Wire)--

GreenSQL, the award-winning leader in database security and compliance solutions, announced today the availability of a comprehensive software-based database security solution for Numergy customers. GreenSQL for Numergy is a powerful "database firewall" and out-of-the-box compliance solution that provides critical security and auditing functionality to Numergy-hosted databases. Effective immediately, Numergy partners can add the GreenSQL protection option when configuring their databases on Numergy's IaaS.

GreenSQL protects corporate databases from SQL injection attacks and enables organizations to secure sensitive information (e.g., identity numbers, credit card numbers, e-mails and passwords) from unauthorized database access. Unique features such as automatic discovery of sensitive data, dynamic data masking, column-based access control and built-in compliance reports further protect the organization's data assets while enforcing separation of duties and easing regulatory compliance.

"We are extremely sensitive to the importance of security, especially at the database level," said Frank Bossel, Sales Director at Numergy. "The product helps our partners to immediately prevent SQL injection attacks, while providing a valuable set of tools to help our customers protect their sensitive data, enforce separation of duties and demonstrate compiance with regulatory directives."

"GreenSQL was designed from the ground up to provide comprehensive database security for cloud-hosted and on-premises corporate databases," said Amir Sadeh, CEO of GreenSQL. "Such technology will make European customers even more comfortable with moving sensitive corporate data to the cloud."

GreenSQL, which can be up and running in less than an hour, acts as a reverse proxy between applications and Numergy-hosted databases, and works by inspecting every command sent to the cloud database in real-time, regardless of the source of the request. The benefits include preventing both SQL injection attacks and inadvertent data breaches, allowing developers and contractors to perform their duties without ever gaining access to sensitive or protected information (via dynamic data masking and column-based permissions), and significantly easing regulatory compliance with auto-discovery of sensitive data, built-in database activity monitoring (DAM) and out-of-the-box compliance reports for a variety of government and industry regulations.
