NextGenTel acquires fiber customers and enters long-term cooperation with Bofiber

(Cision Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NextGenTel AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telio Holding ASA, has entered into an agreement with Bofiber AS to acquire the company’s 2,000 fiber customers and to cooperate in building out fiber in the Bergen region. This implies that residents in the Bergen region can be part of the roll-out of fiber and have Internet, TV, mobile and broadband telephony services provided by the same vendor, NextGenTel. Furthermore, many of NextGenTel’s current customers can be offered fiber and still keep the Internet and other services from the company. Bofiber will provide the fiber infrastructure while NextGenTel will be the customer interface responsible for sales, delivery, customer services and operations.

During fall 2014, the current Bofiber customers will get access to the value added services provided by NextGenTel. The agreement implies an acquisition price of NOK 2,750 per customer. The agreement has a 15 year term (5+5+5 years). NextGenTel has approximately 35,000 customers in the Bergen region and the company sees a significant potential to further strengthen its position in the region from this strategic agreement with Bofiber.

NextGenTel is part of the Telio Group. Telio Group has annual revenues of NOK 1.3 billion and is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. NextGenTel is a provider of broadband services and telephony services to the consumer and business market and the public sector.

Bofiber is a regional provider of fiber, building and upgrading communications infrastructure based on fiber to residents in the Bergen region.
