Festival of Marketing and Celebrity Intelligence take top honours at the PPA Awards 2014 for Centaur Marketing

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Last night, Centaur Media's Festival of Marketing and Celebrity Intelligence both scooped coveted awards at the highly regarded PPA Awards 2014.

The Festival of Marketing, created by Econsultancy, Marketing Week, Creative Review and Design Week, was announced as Event of the Year, marking a great achievement for an event in its very first year of operation. Like SXSW and Cannes Lions, FoM gave the marketing, digital, creative and media industries a home and the platform to showcase the UK's best work, talent, technology and creative prowess in an era of marketing driven by customer experience.

The Festival was inspired by the Modern Marketing Manifesto from Econsultancy and Marketing Week, the mantra for what it takes to practice excellent marketing today. The Manifesto was crowd-sourced and "signed" by thousands of marketers and industry visionaries, demonstrating the industry's support and need for a rallying cry.

The event attracted 4,000 marketers to thought-leading sessions from brands including Microsoft, Virgin, 02, Vine, Channel 4, British Gas, Ford, Dell and many more and brought together many partners from ISBA to The Marketing Society to host a range of fringe events across London. This year's event takes place on 12 - 13 November 2014 at London's Tobacco Dock.

Celebrity Intelligence was awarded Digital Innovation of the Year, highlighting its position as a unique and highly regarded service in the industry. Celebrity Intelligence is a subscription service that helps international brands and agencies identify celebrity marketing endorsement opportunities, lists the contacts and endorsement details of nearly 30,000 celebrities and its clients include Louis Vuitton, Estee Lauder, The New York Times and Cancer Research UK.

Ruth Mortimer, Editor of Marketing Week says: "The Festival of Marketing was a truly agile event last year that captured the mood of the exciting, evolving marketing industry. This year, the speaker line-up includes brands such as Lego, ITV, Universal Pictures, Barclays, Ryanair and many, many more. I look forward to seeing everyone there on November 12-13 to learn about how the marketing industry is being transformed and how we can all achieve marketing excellence." Notes for editors: The Festival of Marketing and Celebrity Intelligence both sit within the Centaur Marketing portfolio, which comprises Econsultancy, Marketing Week, Celebrity Intelligence, Fashion Monitor, Foresight News, Year Ahead, Creative Review and Design Week.
