Ahold receives preliminary approval from Czech competition authority(Thomson Reuters ONE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Zaandam, the Netherlands - Ahold today announced that it has received preliminary approval from the Czech competition authority to acquire SPAR's business in the country. The competition authority has stipulated that after completion of the acquisition, Ahold is required to divest a limited number of stores in the Czech Republic.
