Tech Monthly: Bright: FROM PHANTOM LIMBS TO A PHYSICAL FORM FOR THE SOUL(Observer (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Named after the mysterious phenomenon of feeling the tingles of a missing body part, a new exhibition, Phantom Limbs, will explore the ever-elusive human condition and our swiftly evolving relationship with technology. At what point, it asks, can these phantom digital sensations be considered genuine? And could the soul itself take a physical form? Opening this Friday, the group exhibition will have unusual displays including an assortment of 3D printed teeth, a series of sculptures based on emoticons, and computer simulations mimicking the complexities of DNA. With work from artists including Philippe Parreno and Cecile B Evans, the exhibition opens on Friday 27 June at the Pilar Corrias gallery in central London and runs to 1 August. Entrance is free.
