Prestigio unveils two Windows phone devices [ITP.net (United Arab Emirates)]


(ITP.net (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Prestigio, a manufacturer of mobile devices, consumer electronics and accessories has launched two new MultiPhones based on Microsoft Windows Phone OS.

The devices, which were recently showcased at Computex in Taipei, will be available in the UAE power retail stores at the start of next month.

Prestigio's MultiPhone 8400 DUO and 8500 DUO run Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8.1 mobile. Prestigio claims the gadgets have the best hardware engineering and most advanced Windows Phone 8.1 features with both phones boasting Live Tiles, Office, Skype, One Drive, Xbox services and  new mobile device management features.



"Prestigio customers are among the first in the world to experience Windows Phone 8.1 on a new device," said Peter Han, vice president of Worldwide OEM Marketing, Microsoft Corp. "We look forward to bringing this uniquely personal smartphone experience to Prestigio customers throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa." The MultiPhone 8500 DUO is equipped with a 5-inch Gorilla glass IPS display (720x1280) and quad core CPU 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM for seamless multitasking. The front camera is 2MP, offering better quality conference calls with the rear boasting a high image definition with an 8MP camera.


The MultiPhone 8400 DUO features a crystal clear 4-inch IPS display (480x800), quad core CPU 1.2 GHz, 0.3 MP front camera and an 8MP advanced rear camera with auto focus and dual SIM.

Dia Hamdan, marketing manager, Prestigio MEA, added: "The new MultiPhone array comes with a lot of innovations enhancements to the processor power and improved IPS displays, allowing users to enjoy viewing of high quality images on the go." Dia said the MultiPhone 8500 will be available for in retail channel in July 2014 at a recommended price of AED 865 while the MultiPhone 8400 is scheduled to hit the shelves in August, 2014 and will retail at AED 425.
