BRIEF: College offers Microsoft certifications [The Daily News, Jacksonville, N.C. :: ]

(Daily News (Jacksonville, NC) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) June 08--Those seeking certification in Microsoft software and technical skills can find help through Carteret Community College's new Microsoft IT Academy program.

An information session on the program will be held 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. June 9 in the college's Student Center meeting room.

The college's Microsoft IT Academy program provides the opportunity to learn software and technical skills as well as earn industry-recognized certification such as Microsoft Office Specialist or Microsoft Certified Professional.

Students can pursue certifications either as curriculum students or continuing education students. The program also allows students who have already earned Microsoft certifications in high school to receive college credit.
