SCOPE OF WORK Provide services as follows: 5.1 OVERALL COMMUNICATIONS 5.1.1 Assist with the development of internal and external communications strategies. 5.1.2 Provide consulting services on internal and external communications. 5.1.3 Provide expertise in area of Web communications and social media. 5.1.4 Assist in shaping communications messages and products, as needed. 5.1.5 Assist with issues management, as needed. 5.1.6 Develop and assist with the preparation and delivery of annual presentation on the status of the Maricopa Community Colleges. 5.1.7 Review, edit, and proof work as appropriate. 5.2 MEDIA RELATIONS 5.2.1 Provide consulting services on media relations, including weekly meetings as necessary. 5.2.2 Serve as a spokesperson for MCCCD in crisis communications, as needed. 5.2.3 Prepare presentations for and assist in addressing editorial boards, including coordinating periodic meetings with editorial boards. Develop and coordinate opportunities for OP/ED pieces and editorial columns from senior leadership Meet regularly with the senior leadership and others to assess the involvement, impact and visibility of MCCCD and its college s in the community. Develop strategies to increase and improve those features. Alert senior leadership of public relations challenges and opportunities. Assist in developing strategies to address the issues. Attend District Governing Board meetings and other District meetings, as needed. Questions must be sent by mail or e-mail.
