Mount Washington College Celebrates More Than 500 Graduates at Its 113th Commencement

Mount Washington College, formerly Hesser College, today held its 113th commencement ceremony celebrating the academic achievements of more than 500 graduates. The graduation took place at the Verizon Wireless (News - Alert) Arena in Manchester.

As the keynote speaker, Lance J. Richards, Vice President, Innovation for global workforce solutions provider Kelly Services, addressed the students and described the shift from a knowledge economy to a collaboration economy, requiring new skills and behaviors.

"In a knowledge economy, the only differentiator you have is, in fact, knowledge," Mr. Richards told the graduates. "As a result, education has become the critical, defining component to any economic infrastructure."

Richards has over 30 years of HR experience, with the last 20 years focused on Global Human Resources. As a visiting professor at Sasi Graduate School in Bangkok, he developed and teaches their MBA coursework in Global Human Capital. He is co-author of The Leadership Deficit and Don't Manage Me, #understandme. Richards' most recent book Talentomics received acclaim for its review of the economics of talent, and the metatrends shaping the world of work.
