SONY LAUNCHES ALPHA A3500 [Week, The (Oman)](Week, The (Oman) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sony Middle East and Africa launched the Alpha A3500, a 20.1 megapixel interchangeable lens digital camera to help photography novices shoot DSLRquality pictures with ease. The camera offers superior picture quality especially for a fixedlens compact camera. The Alpha A3500 is fitted with an Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. Teamed with Emount interchangeable lenses, it takes detailed still images from person alitypacked portraits and street scenes to land scapes. Full HD videos look just as impressive, with a choice of 50i or 25p shooting modes for crisp action or a smooth cinematic look as the subject demands. The big sensor also boosts sensitivity, grabbing more light and cutting image noise this means pristine pictures and movies at dusk or in gloomy interiors that can not be captured by the tiny sensor in a compact camera or smartphone. The A3500 offers plenty of creative controls, with a clear electronic viewfinder to help frame shots with confidence, plus a grip that adds to the feeling of com fort, security and balance. The electronic TruFinder enhances framing scenes with generous 100 per cent field coverage. There's plenty of extra information displayed in the electronic viewfinder, including grid lines to help keep those horizons nice and level. An added advantage is the instant preview of tweaks to exposure and white balance settings letting one compose with even greater confidence. Avid photographers have the flexibility to add accessories via the Multi Interface Shoe. It allows capturing a more polished soundtrack and clearer dialogue with the ECM XYST1M Stereo Microphone, and to brighten up parties and indoor scenes with the batterypowered HVLLEIR1 Video IR light. Photographers with more arty ambitions needn't feel left out of the fun. Picture Effect offers a palette of 15 artistic treatments, such as Retro Photo, Miniature and Partial Colour. Auto Object Framing neatly trims portraits, closeups and even moving subjects for tighter, more professional results. Unlike ordinary pointandshoot cameras, the A3500 unleashes the user's full creativity with a wide range of interchangeable Emount lenses by Sony and Carl Zeiss. Users can choose from telephotos, wide angles and macros to versatile zooms for travel and everyday shooting. The camera comes with an E 1850mm F45.6 standard zoom kit lens designed specifically for the A3500 (not sold separately).
