SSNIT organises shareholders seminar on Biometric Registration [Ghana News Agency](Ghana News Agency Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Yendi (N/R), April 11, GNA - The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has organised a days shareholders seminar in Yendi on its intended biometric registration to enable it implement a new Application System. The system seeks to provide quality service delivery to their stakeholders by employing appropriate technologies. The first phase of the implementation of the system involves enrolment modules, which among other activities will register all SSNIT contributors biometrically and provide them with Smart Cards. Mr Augustine Latami Gbande, Yendi Municipal Branch Manager of SSNIT, said the seminar was meant to throw more light on the new automated facility and its benefits. He stated that SSNIT was to collect the biometric information of all existing SSNIT contributors as well as pensioners to enable it implement the new system effectively. He said the purpose of the registration was to generate 13 Alphanumeric Social Security Numbers (SSNOS) to replace existing members with eight digit Social Security (SS) numbers.
