University Center Night Set for April 3 at Randolph Community College


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ASHEBORO, N.C., March 21 -- Randolph Community College issued the following news release: Randolph Community College is gearing up for its spring University Center Night, planned for 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, in the Foundation Conference Center on the Asheboro Campus. Through the University Center of Randolph County, students can earn bachelor's degrees or master's degrees in selected fields of study without traveling outside of Randolph County.



Representatives from four area colleges and universities (North Carolina A&T State University, Pfeiffer University, Winston-Salem State University, and the Carolina Graduate School of Divinity) will be available to talk to students about their respective programs.

N.C. A&T offers a bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology with a concentration in Information Technology. Students should contact RCC liaison Curby Simerson at 336-633-0326 or [email protected] for assistance.


For students who are interested in Elementary Education, Pfeiffer University representatives will be on hand to discuss a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and master's degree programs in Elementary Education and Teaching Special Education. Winston-Salem State offers a bachelor's degree in Nursing, which provides an opportunity for Registered Nurses to continue their education. For more information, contact Tina Dixon, RCC liaison at 336-633-0270 or [email protected].

If the fields of ministry or divinity are of interest, students can pursue a Master of Arts in Ministry or a Master of Divinity degree from the Carolina Graduate School of Divinity. If these are programs of interest, contact Dean Beck, RCC liaison at 336-633-0265 or [email protected].

Interested students are invited to drop in at any time between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on April 3. The Asheboro Campus is located at 629 Industrial Park Avenue. Take the McDowell Road exit off Highway 220Bypass/I73-I74 and follow the signs.
