Industry Veteran Scott D. Smith Joins ModusLink as Chief Commercial OfficerWALTHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- ModusLink Global Solutions™ Inc. (NASDAQ:MLNK) today announced that Scott D. Smith has joined its operating company, ModusLink Corporation (the "Company" or "ModusLink") as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, Smith will lead ModusLink's global sales, marketing and client management organizations with a focus on growing revenue and enhancing the Company's market position as a trusted provider of highly integrated supply chain and logistics services to the world's best brands. "Scott is a great fit for our organization," said John Boucher, President and CEO of ModusLink. "Not only is he a proven leader in sales and marketing, he also has deep knowledge of the supply chain industry and the vertical markets we target. Additional prior posts include three years with Lenovo (News - Alert) Corporation as President of the Americas and a 22 year tenure at IBM in a series of global sals and operations roles with increasing responsibility in the Americas and Asia Pacific regions. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarkson University in New York.
