Bowman Consulting Group Hires Jim DePietro as Chief Information Officer

Bowman Consulting Group today announced that it has hired industry veteran Jim DePietro as the company’s Chief Information Officer. As CIO, Jim will focus on overseeing the company’s information technology and management information systems. Jim will also be responsible for implementing a company-wide Earned Value Management system which will improve communication between the firm’s resources and its clients with respect to project progress and cost controls. In addition, Jim will support the company’s technology infrastructure in connection with Bowman’s continuing national expansion efforts.

In that role Mr. DePietro oversaw the company’s information technology program and was responsible for all aspects of information technology, telecommunications planning and implementation which included strategic planning, acquisition, design, installation and support of over 600 users company-wide. Mr. DePietro is a University of Scranton graduate with a B.S. degree in Computer Science, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. He is also affiliated with the American Consulting Engineers Council national and regional IT committees.
