Ricoh Demonstrating Solutions for Paperless Healthcare at e-Health 2013 Conference and Exhibition(Canada Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 27, 2013 /CNW/ - Ricoh Canada, a leading technology provider in advanced document management solutions and services, is demonstrating a broad array of powerful healthcare solutions at e-Health 2013 Conference and Exhibition. In keeping with the conference theme of "Accelerating Change", Ricoh's Healthcare solution set is designed to help healthcare organizations take advantage of EHR investments and make rapid progress along the "Paperless Maturity Roadmap." Conceived by Ricoh's healthcare working group (booth #1300), the "Paperless Maturity Roadmap" helps providers visualize how the strategic reduction of paper and related paper-based systems can help address the operational inefficiencies that present some of the most critical challenges in healthcare today. One of the solutions that Ricoh will be demonstrating permits healthcare providers to easily attach loose sheet documents securely, accurately and effortlessly to a patient record in real time. Providers would be able to scan the documents on a workgroup MFP and use the software to convert as well as receive and send the electronic data in HL7-CDA, the standard language for exchange of healthcare industry information. The software would then attach the documents to the correct patient record. A prototype of this innovative software solution has been ported to operate on a dedicated Ricoh MFP.
