AVAD Adds bCODA Jak USB Streaming Device to Lineup

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 02, 2013 AVAD LLC, one of North America’s leading providers of custom electronics, has announced it now offers dealers access to the bCODA Jak, a portable content streaming device for Android-based smartphones and tablets, with an iOS version coming soon. The wireless plug-and-play tool connects to any device with a USB port to share content such as music, photos and videos, presentations and other data onto a computer, a large screen television or projector, or even through a mobile entertainment system.

Helping smartphone owners get more out of their device and extend content to shared spaces, each Jak is capable of simultaneously connecting up to 20 devices to the linked gadget. Popular applications include live management of several music playlists for a DJ-style entertainment environment, business meetings with multiple presenters or group photo sharing. Capable of streaming full HD (1080p) video and high-quality (mp3) audio, the Jak works with any USB 3.0-enabled host device and is backwards compatible with older USB versions.

"AVAD's value to dealers as a one stop shop for residential and commercial solutions requires that we offer portable and convenient products for content sharing," said Hugh Hughes, Director of Merchandising at AVAD. "The reality of technology in the new millennium is that media and data have to be more versatile than ever, and bCODA's latest technology helps people save time and money while also bridging the gap between formats and viewing platforms." The Jak transmits data consistently with no drops or loss in quality and streams only when connected, eliminating concerns about security, bandwidth or file integrity. The device never stores content at any time in the process, therefore even if it is lost or stolen the source data cannot be accessed or controlled. The MultiShare Jak application is available for free in the Google Play app store and there is no need for additional cables, downloading driver software updates, or upgrading hardware.
