FPC awarded new smartphone Design Win by Chinese manufacturerApr 15, 2013 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Fingerprint Cards AB (FPC) (STO: FINGB), a developer and producer of biometric components and technologies, announced today that its sensor technology has won an additional smartphone design-win (DW) from a major smartphone manufacturer in China. Financial details of this award were not disclosed. This Chinese smartphone brand manufacturer, including foreign brands, reportedly sold over six million smartphones in 2012. FPC had earlier announced multiple mobile phone DWs in China, Japan and in an additional third Asian country. This new DW for an Android smartphone model is scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2013.
