Chunghwa Telecom to Provide Thuraya Mobile Comm ServiceFeb 01, 2013 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (NYSE: CHT) is to open the application for the provision of Thuraya satellite mobile communication service to the public from today, according to Taiwan media. Since the fee program of Chunghwa Telecom has been approved by the National Communications Commission (NCC) in January, the company will accept the application for the aforementioned service and operate it as a agent from today. Thuraya satellite mobile communication service is said to mainly cover 142 countries and regions from three continents-Europe, Asia and Africa.
