Pathways Home Health & Hospice Hires Charleston Cone as Medical Director


Oakland, California, Jan 31, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Pathways Home Health & Hospice welcomes Charleston Cone, MD to the position of Medical Director. Dr. Cone is board certified in internal medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine. In his new position, he will be part of the Pathways Hospice team that visits patients in the east bay communities of San Leandro, Castro Valley, Hayward, Union City, Newark, Milpitas, Oakland and Piedmont. In addition to visiting patients in their homes and in facilities, Dr. Cone is also available for hospice consultations with primary care physicians and educational presentations.



Dr. Cone has been practicing medicine in the East Bay for twenty years and is an experienced hospice medical director. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and served his residency at Mercy Hospital, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Pathways Hospice, Dr. Cone worked as staff physician at the Center for Elders Independence, which featured a PACE model system, which included clinic visits and house calls. He also served as an Associate Medical Director at Odyssey Hospice.
