Salora to launch 4.5-inch POWERMaxx smartphone @ Rs 15,999 [Gadgets Special] [Times of India]


(Times of India Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NEW DELHI: Salora International Ltd (SIL) has entered the smartphone fray with the launch of PowerMaxx. The smartphone comes with a bumper size battery of 3200mAh, which according to the company, keeps it powered for nearly 430 hours. This mean the smartphone is capable of supporting 22 hours of 3G talk time, 42 hours of playing music, 10 hours of playing video, 11 hours of 3G networking and 13 hours of Wi-Fi usage.



PowerMaxx packs Cortex-A9 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS. The phone has a slim body measuring 10.2 mm, 64.5mm frame with round edges. The smartphone's surface shell is made of forging aluminum alloy with a special fibre drawing technology.

There's 4.5 inch IPS LCD (qHD) screen with a resolution of 960x540p. The company says display comes with 'Zero Air Gap' technology that uses high-strength single layer toughened glass which makes it anti-fingerprint, anti-scratch and ultra-thin. The technology also supposedly prevents users' eyes from drying.


The smart phone has a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel autofocus camera at the back. There's 512MB RAM and 4GB of on-board storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. Connectivity options in the phone include Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth.

Salora PowerMaxx is priced at Rs 15,999 (MRP).
