PR Agency to Choose Charity of the Year(Cision (English) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) News Release 4th January 2013 Lincoln-based PR agency Shooting Star PR (http://shootingstar -pr.co.uk/charity/) is looking for a registered charity to become its Charity of the Year for 2013. Every year the agency provides free advice and expertise to a different local charity or not-for-profit organisation which they may otherwise not be able to afford. Shooting Star PR wants to hear from charities that could benefit from PR services including news releases, social media, feature writing, crisis management and media monitoring. Lincolnshire Sports Partnership had the support of Shooting Star PR throughout 2012. Janet Inman, Chief Executive of Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, commented: “Being selected as Shooting Star PR’s Charity of the Year 2012 was fantastic. The media training that the team provided for our staff and the cutting services we utilised for monitoring our press activity really helped in a busy and successful year for sport. “Members of the team at Shooting Star PR were always on the other end of the phone if needed and truly supported us with our various projects and events.” In recent years Shooting Star PR has also provided services on a pro bono basis to Strut in the Community, Lincoln Women’s Aid and Candles. Kate Strawson, Director of Shooting Star PR, said: “Charities make a real difference to people’s lives and we are keen to help them promote the services that they offer which they could not afford to do without our help. “Last year we chose Lincolnshire Sports Partnership to be our Charity of the Year as it seemed fitting in a year when sport was so high on everyone’s agenda.
