Dell agrees acquisition of Credant TechnologiesDec 19, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Computer technology company Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL) disclosed on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement to acquire Credant Technologies to strengthen the company's computing solutions and improve the manageability, reliability and security of its enterprise computing portfolio. Credant provides data protection solutions to control, manage and secure data sent from endpoints to servers, storage and the cloud. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Dell already has a long-standing joint development partnership and OEM agreement with Credant and uses its technology in its Dell Data Protection|Encryption solution.
