SchoolReach School Notification Systems Win National Awards

St. Louis, MO, Nov 30, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Top education industry journals have selected SchoolReach school notification solutions to receive their annual recognition awards. The CyberBully Hotline, launched by SchoolReach in 2012, was a New Product winner in Tech & Learning Magazine's 30th Annual Awards of Excellence, and the SchoolReach school notification system was named a Readers' Choice Top 100 Product by District Administration Magazine.

The CyberBully Hotline is an anonymous bullying reporting solution, supplying schools and districts with a turnkey program to introduce anti-bullying and anti-cyberbullying efforts, manage these efforts, and track reports of bullying, harassment and other incidents. The program provides a unique, local telephone number for each school building that students and parents can use to anonymously report bullying, harassment, intimidation, and other concerns via text message or voice call. Administrators use the CyberBully Hotline online management center to easily view and respond to messages. In addition, the program includes access to the CyberBully Hotline Resource Center, which offers an abundance of information on report response best practices and access to professional development materials.

"It's very gratifying to receive the Tech & Learning Award of Excellence less than a year after introducing the CyberBully Hotline," said Paul Langhorst, chief marketing officer at SchoolReach. "Our comprehensive program meets students where they live - on their cell phones - and helps students anonymously report difficult problems." The Awards of Excellence winners will be featured in Tech & Learning Magazine's December 2012 issue and on the Tech & Learning website at http://www.TechLearning.com.

"As schools continue to have to do more with less, buying the right solution for your district needs is more important than ever," said Kevin Hogan, editorial director for New Bay Media's Tech & Learning Group. "Tech & Learning is proud to present these recommended products that have been put to the test by our experienced educational team of judges." The 2012 District Administration Readers' Choice Top 100 Products winners were selected by the editors of the magazine from a record number of nominations submitted by readers, including superintendents and district-level directors in districts across the United States. The Readers' Choice awards program provides senior district leaders with the unique opportunity to learn what products their colleagues around the country are using and how these products contribute to the success of their districts.

"The Readers' Choice Top 100 Products award vindicates our development and customer service efforts," said Langhorst. "Over the past year, our new time-saving features and mobile apps for school administrators and parents have dramatically increased the utility of SchoolReach to our customers. SchoolReach can be used for school cancellations, emergency notifications, general announcements, absentee notifications, lunch balance notifications, parent polls and surveys, and bus route changes." SchoolReach customer Steve Willard, superintendent of Belle Fourche School District 9-1 in South Dakota, offered this perspective: "SchoolReach allows our district the opportunity to reach parents with important information at a moment's notice. The program has become a staple in our communication process with parents and the community." The District Administration Readers' Choice Top 100 winners will be featured in District Administration Magazine's December 2012 issue and on the District Administration website at http://www.districtadministration.com.
