PG&E and Clasma Events Target Grid Cyber Security at GridSec Summit in San Francisco


SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and Clasma Events are hosting the first GridSec Summit in San Francisco, CA, October 22-24, to address the critical issues around cyber security and risk management for the nation's electrical infrastructure. This summit will bring together grid-security leaders for in-depth dialogue on the threats, opportunities, drivers and challenges of Smart Grid security - with a key focus on technology risk.



The summit's host utility, PG&E, will kick off the event by unveiling the utility's risk-management framework, which is a comprehensive process to continuously monitor and assess an entity's risk profile and posture, followed by a series of related workshops. The remaining agenda will include an in-depth executive roundtable, utility panels, and keynotes led by key security experts, including: Hank Kenchington, Deputy Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
