VideoPropulsion and Bulk TV & Internet Announce First Deployment of SamsungLYNK

Slinger, WI, Aug 31, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- VideoPropulsion(R) (OTC:VPTV) announces another industry first with the successful implementation of a SamsungLYNK(R) enabled FloodGate(R) FG-4000 series HDTV Free-to-Guest headend appliance at the Best Western in Lytle, TX. Installation was completed on April 2, 2012 by BulkTV & Internet(R) - the operator of the system for the hotel, recognized earlier this year as DIRECTV's Free-to-Guest Provider of the Year for the fourth consecutive year.

SamsungLYNK is a new hospitality industry approved content security mechanism introduced by Samsung Electronics at the HITEC show in June of this year, and is integrated into select Samsung HDTV's. In addition to supporting SamsungLYNK, VideoPropulsion's state-of-the-art FloodGate appliances support all approved industry standard content protection mechanisms. FloodGates also work with virtually any content source including satellite providers DIRECTV(R), DISH Network(R), and BellTV(R), as well as CableCard(R) from most cable companies. The system at the Best Western in Lytle, TX uses DIRECTV to deliver 24 channels of HDTV programming to guest rooms. FloodGate systems are available to deliver up to 60 HD channels on COAX, IP, or mobile networks. The FloodGate family of headend appliances allows operators, integrators, and resellers to provide hospitality and other commercial customers with the widest variety of choices for delivering Free-to-Guest (FTG) HD programming in the industry.

"We are pleased to announce the successful integration of SamsungLYNK content security across our entire line of new FloodGate 4000 Series Free-to-Guest appliances," affirms VideoPropulsion's Chairman & CEO Carl Pick. "We value our partnership with Samsung in a continued effort to increase viewership quality and lower overall site cost." "The revolutionary SamsungLYNK is another milestone in the evolution of Free-to-Guest HD programming for the hospitality industry. This product is going to better enable us to provide the best HD programming available, which guests have come to expect." said Tom Conley, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer of Bulk TV & Internet.
