In Honor of London 2012 Games Keynote Announces the International Summer Games for Mobile Retailers

SAN MATEO, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Keynote Competitive Research, the industry analysis group of Keynote® (NASDAQ: KEYN), today announced that in honor of the London 2012 Games it will hold its own International Summer Games for Mobile Retailers. Beginning next week Keynote will publicly announce the top three performing mobile retail websites from around the world based on its 'Keynote Mobile Retail Index - World Edition,' an index assessing the download speed and reliability of leading mobile retail sites as measured on smartphones from different countries around the world.

The company will name Gold, Silver and Bronze winners based on the top scoring sites on the index each week. The index score is a combination of each site's average speed and reliability as measured 24 x 7 over the previous seven days. Reporters and analysts wishing to receive the names of the winning mobile retail websites each Tuesday over the next three weeks should email Dan Berkowitz at [email protected] and request receipt of the latest results. To view the "Keynote Mobile Retail Index - World Edition" click on: http://bit.ly/xiWEL5.

The Keynote Mobile Retail Index - World Edition shows the average response times, success rates and a composite score for downloading the homepage of selected sites of retailers using Mobile Web Perspective® over Air. Keynote repeatedly tests the sites in the index hourly and around the clock over two Tier 1 wireless networks in each country (Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Sweden, UK and US) over popular smartphones. The retail sites that appear in the Index were selected to provide an industry benchmark for well-known company sites.

"Mobile technology will be put to the test during the London 2012 Games. Keynote's ongoing research regarding consumer satisfaction levels for accessing Web content over smartphones and tablets shows that much work still remains to be done, not only by retailers, but by companies in many important industries," said Ren Bloom, vice president of marketing at Keynote. "We believe the London 2012 Games is an ideal time to shine a competitive light on mobile retail; one of the fastest growing and most important industry sectors benefiting from the consumer move to mobile, yet still experiencing significant performance pains."
